DRAIN Announce New Album ‘…IS YOUR FRIEND’ — Out Nov 7 Via Epitaph

Share

DRAIN are back, and they’re still your f**king friend.

The Santa Cruz hardcore trio have just announced their third full-length album ‘…IS YOUR FRIEND’, dropping November 7 via Epitaph Records. It follows their 2023 bruiser ‘LIVING PROOF’, a record that stomped on expectations and opened the pit worldwide. Now, after a year of stage dives, circle pits, and backbreaking tours (including support slots with Blink-182), DRAIN are delivering the album they were built to make, one that sounds exactly like the live show feels.

They’re kicking things off with lead single ‘Nights Like These’, a bouncy, blitzed-out anthem about friendship, road life, and soaking up the good sh*t before it’s gone. Vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro says it best: “We’re still just a couple of best friends playing music together, making memories, and we know how f**king lucky we are.”

The Video

Directed by Derek Rathbun features the band in full force, then fast-forwards 30 years with their actual dads as stunt doubles. No prosthetics, no effects, just pure DIY brilliance. Sammy’s dad stage diving is a sight you won’t forget.

Take a look here:

Produced by Jon Markson (The Story So Far, Drug Church), the album was tracked fully live, no click and no cut corners. It’s ten tracks of mosh ready chaos, loaded with wild riffs, gang shouts, and zero pretense. From ‘Scared Of Everything And Nothing’ to ‘Who’s Having Fun?’, it’s designed to make every DRAIN set even more unhinged than the last.

Whether you’re a hardcore purist, a metalhead or just someone who likes their music sweaty and inclusive, one thing’s certain: DRAIN is was and will always be your friend.
