Germany’s Beyond The Black have broken their silence with a fresh single, ‘Rising High’, their first new material in nearly two years. The track landed with a slick music video, showing the band doubling down on what they do best, melodic metal polished with stadium ready hooks. If you dug their 2023 self titled album (which smashed its way to #2 on the German charts), you’ll find familiar ground here in big riffs, sweeping orchestration and choruses built for the festival main stage.
Frontwoman Jennifer Haben is calling it a new chapter, “The silence is over: Rising High! A new era and we’re ready to fly.” The song stays true to the band’s formula, think the power and drama of Within Temptation, the polish of Amaranthe and a dash of arena rock shine.
Beyond The Black have spent the last decade building their rep on the European metal circuit, starting strong with their 2015 debut Songs of Love and Death and hitting festivals like Wacken, Hellfest and Graspop. They’ve shared the stage with heavy hitters including Aerosmith, Korn, and Scorpions and hit new ground in 2023 with their first tours of Australia, New Zealand and Latin America.
They’ll be back on festival stages across Europe this summer, including slots at Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, and Graspop.
